With the majority of movie theaters and fancy restaurants either closed or operating at severely limited capacity, Valentine’s Day is going to look very different for a lot of folks this year, and if nothing else, we can always cuddle up on the couch with our significant others — or a pint of ice cream — and catch an old-fashioned romantic comedy. With that in mind, we’ve put together another one of our showdown brackets to choose the Ultimate Rom-Com, and Round 1 begins… now!
From Old Hollywood standards and critical darlings to modern classics and fan favorites, we’ve selected 64 notable romantic comedies from across the spectrum for you to vote on over the next couple of weeks, as we whittle the selection down by half each round en route to crowning a winner just in time for Valentine’s Day. So cast your votes below in Round 1 of the Rom-Com Showdown — polls will close on Thursday, July 28 at 1o p.m. PT — and let’s get this cuddle party started.
