If you are like literally all of us here at Rotten Tomatoes, then you have been spending the past several weeks holed up at home in an effort to “flatten the curve,” and if you are like literally all of us here at Rotten Tomatoes, that also means you’ve been spending the past several weeks watching a lot of TV. If nothing else, this time of self-quarantine has afforded many of us the opportunity to catch up on the countless Netflix series that other people have been obsessing about on social media and various Zoom meetings.
With that in mind, we decided to run another one of our Showdowns, this time focused on Netflix Original Series, to figure out which one of them rules them all on the streaming behemoth. The vast majority of the 64 shows you’ll see here are scripted, but we’ve tossed in a few docuseries and reality shows that managed to inspire cultural moments of their own. Of course, you won’t see every Netflix show represented here — Money Heist, for example, blew up as we were putting this whole thing together — but we think you’ll still find plenty of series to root for (or against). So get to voting in Round 1 — polls will close at 10pm on Wednesday, April 15, and we’ll begin Round 2 shortly thereafter — and let’s find out which Netflix Original Series is the greatest of them all!
